The Technical Sr. Manager for Security Operations within Shared Technology Services will hold overall accountability for the successful delivery of the organization's technological and operational requirements. This position will lead the planning, optimization, and implementation of security and technology strategies to ensure the efficient support and growth of service components. The role requires a highly experienced individual capable of driving innovation, strategic alignment, and operational excellence across a diverse technology landscape.

HOW THE TECHNICAL SR. MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provide overall leadership, vision, and direction for technology planning, security operations, and innovation for the service component.
  • Assume full accountability for delivering requirements within established timeframes, budgets, and quality metrics.
  • Foster collaboration across multi-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and service requirements.
  • Oversee the successful implementation, operation, and optimization of security operations and related service components within Shared Technology Services.
  • Ensure the delivery of technology solutions aligns with organizational business objectives, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with service delivery, performance, and security incidents.
  • Lead the development of an enterprise-wide technology strategy for security operations within the shared services model, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies that enhance operations and strengthen security posture.
  • Develop long-term plans and roadmaps that align with enterprise goals and foster growth in service capacity, innovation, and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize operational efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) and develop strategies to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence, identifying pain points and addressing them through data-driven decisions.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the technical organization.
  • Champion the use of advanced technologies (e.g., AI, automation, analytics) to stay ahead of evolving threats and ensure the relevance and robustness of security operations.
  • Collaborate with leadership, clients, and partners to understand and deliver on business and security needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding the technological aspects of service delivery.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership teams detailing progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Build and lead a high-performing technical team, ensuring appropriate skill sets and competencies are maintained to meet current and future needs.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering professional growth and development within the organization.
  • Ensure all systems, processes, and services align with internal, industry, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with legal, audit, and compliance teams to establish and maintain accountability in operations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology infrastructure, operations, or security, with a focus on shared services.


Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of security operations, including threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in enterprise IT planning, technology optimization, and innovation.
  • Strong experience managing a diverse technology portfolio, including cloud platforms, on-premises infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional knowledge of industry best practices, frameworks, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with experience engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-component technology programs within deadlines and budgets.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP, preferred
  • Experience leading large teams in a matrixed, multi-vendor environment.
  • Familiarity with security tools, automation platforms, and advanced analytics solutions.

Additional Information:

Location: Austin, TX. expect to be in office 2-5 days a week.

Timeline: This is a contingent role, expected to start between December 2026 and March of 2027.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
