Operations Lead - TS/SCI w/ Poly

Our work depends on an Operations Lead joining our team who has at least 8+ experience in IT disciplines in the area of operations, analysis and virtual operations to support customer requirements. TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

HOW AN OPERATIONS LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Oversee all operations teams (storage, systems admins, monitoring) ensuring continuous service availability that includes after-hours and weekend support to operations

• Plan and mobilize resources to support mission operations, incidents, outages, or active operations

• Hosts Technical Exchange Meetings with Sponsor stakeholders and incumbents to review mission schedules to ensure that any planned releases do not interfere with mission activities

• Leads knowledge discovery, transfer, staffing and onboarding of Operations personnel, and operational readiness

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Qualifications:

• Strong ability to work with leadership team to plan and execute tactical and strategic efforts

• Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate experienced technical staff

• Through proactive leadership, creates an environment where the impact of technology on the business is clearly recognized

• Demonstrated planning and organization skills 

• Demonstrated ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions

• Demonstrated ability to clearly report relevant information

• Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning/roadmap development and execution for operations

• MS Office suite

• A bachelor’s degree in an IT or engineering related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in an IT or engineering field, candidates may substitute with four (4) years of demonstrated experience in IT disciplines. Years of experience for substitution are in addition to other years of experience requirements outlined below  

• Eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in IT disciplines, of which at least five (3) years are as a technical lead

• TS/SCI with SCI Poly clearance

• Location: At Customer Site – Herndon area

Desired Qualifications:

• A master’s degree in an IT or engineering related field

• Demonstrated expertise with mission support systems

• Demonstrated experience in IT process improvement through software automation process

• Demonstrated experience with on-premise data centers, cloud services, and edge computing

• Demonstrated experience with deploying systems accredited at an INT-C level
