Job Description

GDIT is seeking a CTO to serve as the Federal Health Division Chief Technical Officer. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal health IT systems, a proven track record of successful project and program management, and the ability to provide strategic leadership and vision. This role will be critical in driving technology initiatives, shaping the future of our health IT solutions, and supporting growth of the Federal Health Division. This position will align customer mission needs, GDIT technology solutions, and leading-edge technology. It will drive the technical solutions needed to win our most complex, large-scale and strategic growth opportunities. This is a vital customer facing role, and it will give you the opportunity to drive the strategic direction of our Federal Health Division go-to-market approach and interact with leading-edge technologies that we implement for our customers. To be successful in this role you must be able to translate technological offerings into a value-added solutions that will be appreciated and understood by management and other stakeholders.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

This position is responsible for evaluating existing technology solutions, vendors, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement, with a focus on introducing new capabilities that meet client mission needs. This involves conducting thorough analysis and research to determine optimal partnerships and on-contract delivery options, as well as developing and testing rapid prototyping to demonstrate the feasibility and potential of new ideas and capabilities. Additionally, you will collaborate with operational teams to facilitate a seamless transition of new technologies and solutions, ensuring long-term success for our clients meeting  mission objectives.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement technology strategies aligned with the division's goals and objectives, ensuring the successful delivery of IT services and solutions
  • Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance on the design, development, and deployment of health IT systems, ensuring compliance with federal standards and regulations
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including federal agencies, to align technology initiatives with mission requirements
  • Serves as the vital link between your Division CTO organization, P&L Operations and Growth functions leading: 
  • Technology initiatives
  • Technology introductions
  • Integration of technology solution concepts on current programs
  • Develop and execute "go-to-market" plan on technical solution ingestion within the Federal Health landscape including customers throughout HHS, the VA and Military Health markets
  • Leads division coordination between GDIT and technical Centers of Excellence, Pursuit Teams, Capability Teams, and Enterprise Solution Architecture ensuring all technical elements are synched to our Growth and Execution Strategy


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Federal Health CTO must have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required

  • Experience: 10+ years of in-depth knowledge of federal health IT systems, standards, and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FISMA)

  • Technical skills: Firm knowledge across and experience in several of the following areas: Cloud Computing, Enterprise IT, Managed Services, Cybersecurity, Software Application Development, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.

  • Experience working with Federal Health agencies

  • US Person required

  • Location: Hybrid with the expectation selected candidate will support in-person customer meetings and work in a GDIT office in the Maryland/Virginia locations three days/week

  • Role requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience deploying technologies like Infrastructure, Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and their importance to Health Technologies, Sciences and Systems

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise decomposing customer problems, identifying technology-based solutions, building proof-of-concept development plan, executing hands-on development, and identifying path to scale.

  • Experience developing and integrating emerging commercial technologies to meet Government security requirements (e.g., NIAP, NIST, CSfC).

  • DevSecOps experience deploying cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions with automation, containerization, and Kubernetes technologies.

  • Experience supervising and mentoring technical staff.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, unstructured environment

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $260,950 - $353,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
