Job Description

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Our work depends on a Senior Test Engineer joining our team to perform continuous testing for security, API, and regression suites. You will participate in scrum meetings, run test case execution, create reports, and document defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Planning, constructing and executing of test scripts.
  • Applying business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the team's overall test objectives.
  • Ensuring all testing results are easily accessible and understandable.
  • Tracking defects in defect repository.
  • Executing assigned testing activities within specified time frames to meet committed delivery dates.
  • Executing regression testing, test automation, performance testing, functionality and usability testing as assigned.
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies and processes.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's degree (candidate résumé should include names and graduation date(s) from institutes of hirer learning)
  • 3+ years of experience with end-to-end Agile manual and automated software testing, including Technical Test Execution, Test Management, participating in code reviews, and monitoring, reporting, and documenting defects to support continuous improvement.
  • Experience with development of test scripts and functional Testing using Java and Java Script (addition of Python preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with testing administration tools such as Rational and CQ.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL database.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must consistently deliver work that meets or exceeds established standards, demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail, thoroughness, and adherence to specifications.
  • Candidate must have established residency in the U.S. for at least 3 out of the last 5 years.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a Federal Public Trust.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Gatling Test Execution experience.
    • Scala REST APIs experience preferred.
    • Experience supporting data and test suite configuration with tools such as Jenkins/GitHub.
    • Experience with AI test case creation.
    • Ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities.
    • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
    • Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
    • Produce estimates for new functionality or enhancements.
    • Agile certification in SAFe Practitioner, SAFe Agilist, CSM or other agile certifications.
    • Ability to perform in high pressure environment and under strict deadlines.

    Salary and Benefit Information

    The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
