SYSTEMS ANALYST PRINCIPAL

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Systems Analyst Principal plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role specializes in Information Management (IM), actively engaging with stakeholders to discover, analyze, and document business requirements. As a trusted advisor, the BSA ensures that information management systems and processes align with organizational goals and deliver measurable benefits. This role is customer-facing and demands superior communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive successful project execution.

  • Collaborate with business users, stakeholders, and technical teams to identify and understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities in the realm of information management.  
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, interviews, surveys, workshops, and process analysis to gather and document clear, concise, and actionable requirements.
  • Analyze existing business processes, workflows, and data flows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements for better information management. Work closely with solution architects, developers, and project managers to define and propose technical and functional solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Create accurate and detailed documentation such as business requirements documents (BRD), functional specifications, workflows, use cases, and user stories.  
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop test scripts, validate the implementation of system functionalities, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).  
  • Assist in creating user manuals, guidelines, and training materials to support organizational adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Participates as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
  • Develop interactive Microsoft Power BI Dashboards/Reports and Excel pivot tables to convey Program- and application-specific metrics such as number of implemented Requests for Change (RFCs), number of Backlog work items by application, functional area, and activity (New Development or Sustainment).
  • Supports Project Team in customer facing role soliciting and documenting functional requirements. Independently leads and facilitates Joint Application Development requirements sessions. 
  • Develops a strong understanding of the underlying business processes and data aligned to a systems capability.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

● Education: Bachelor’s degree
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Technical skills:Microsoft Office applications, Power BI. Business Process Re-engineering, Data Analysis and Visualization.
● Security clearance level: Public Trust NACLC
● US citizenship required
● Role requirements: Required to be on-site at DLA Troop Support Philadelphia at least 1-day per week. This could increase to multiple days based on customer direction.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
