MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

As a CYOC Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USSTRATCOM.  USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment.

You will play a crucial role in providing support in the following areas:

  • Perform network administration and management of Command and Control (C2) network systems, supporting NetOps activities across all of USSTRATCOM.
  • Provide the configuration and administration of Government-furnished monitoring tools to provide situational awareness views of Government directed networks and support of WAN and LAN operations.
  • Support the operation and maintenance of enterprise monitoring tools to identify potential incidents or degradations of services, applications, or networks.
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating network configurations and network performance.
  • Assist in the evaluation and technical response to incident events, outages, coordination of changes, and security patches.
  • Provides network troubleshooting and is responsible for responding to incident management system requests; service or application outages; implementing recovery procedures; and resolving or escalating network incidents.
  • Perform shift work to ensure 7x24 coverage and support.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Security Clearance Level: Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI status
  • Required Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation certified within 9 months of start; 8140 Certifications
  • Location: Offutt AFB, NE
  • Proven experience in network administration within enterprise WAN/LAN environments
  • Knowledge of Command and Control (C2) network systems and NetOps practices
  • Proficiency with government‑furnished or enterprise monitoring tools for network and system visibility
  • Ability to monitor, evaluate, and optimize network configurations and performance
  • Experience identifying and responding to network incidents, service degradations, and outages
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex network issues in real-time operational environments
  • Familiarity with DoW network architectures, security standards, and patch management processes
  • Understanding of core networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching
  • Ability to implement recovery procedures and support incident management systems
  • Effective communication skills for coordination with technical teams and leadership
  • Ability to work in high-tempo, 24/7 shift-based operations.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $104,650. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
