Job Description

SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN II

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Systems Technician II, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Department of Education. You will play a crucial role in the Desktop Engineering Team and will -Furnished Equipment (GFE) such as laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral devices like webcams, speakers, and MiFi. This position will predominantly support VIPs with Tier 2/3 desktop support incidents and problems.
. ● Collaborate with other PIVOT contractors, the broader GDIT team and OCIO may be necessary for hardware and software operability and functionality.
● Drive end-point device stability with in-depth involvement to test software and incorporate new version into the base image.
● Utilize tools like MECM, Pre-boot Execution Environment (PXE), Microsoft Intune and other image creation, management and deployment tools to support 4,000 enterprise Windows 11 endpoints



WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your Desktop Technician expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Technician II must have:
● Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline or a minimum of 4 years of IT experience in lieu of a degree
● Experience: 2+ years of related experience
● Security clearance level: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $69,700.00 - $94,300.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
