Job Description

Own your opportunity to turn data into measurable outcomes for our customers’ most complex challenges. As a Data Integrity Engineer II at GDIT, you’ll support the mission of the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Unified Case Management (UCM). You will play a crucial role in reviewing, evaluating, designing, implementing and maintaining environmental databases.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Review, evaluate, design, implement and maintain environmental databases.
  • Use database management concepts, storage and query/retrieval methods, statistical analyses, and programming languages to perform analyses, develop plans and recommendations, and prepare required level of documentation.
  • Comply with project specifications, including format and content of input/output data and functions to be performed by computer programs.
  • Prepare clear and accurate tables, data plots, maps and other graphics.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • Required Experience: 4+ years experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Experience with building and maintaining ETL pipelines while using AWS, Snowflake and PostgresSQL; experience with implementing automated data validation; experience creating dashboards and automating pipelines for reporting
  • Security Clearance Level: Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years 
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Good customer service and communication skills, to include presenting to all levels of leadership; Must have good problem-solving skills; Prior experience in a CMS environment with Medicare/Medicaid claims and associated data; Experience with the Agile framework 
  • Preferred Skills: Master’s degree preferred; 5+ years experience preferred
  • Location: Remote 100%, Preference to MD/VA/DC location  
  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week, available within the core hours of Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm EST.
  • Residency Requirement: Must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.​ Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
