As a Systems Architect Sr. Principal supporting the IHS EHR program, you will be trusted to manage a variety of topics and efforts to ensure the success of our customer.This position is fully remote, US based.HOW A SYSTEMS ARCHITECT SR. PRINCIPAL WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Bring deep knowledge of enterprise healthcare archite,ability/interface and identity and access management concepts
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud Hosting, Cybersecurity teams, on both the Team GDIT and customer sides, where such focus areas intersect
  • Develop comprehensive architectural artifacts, visualizations, and accompanying narratives reflecting logical, physical, data, and network schemas
  • Develop comprehensive architectural artifacts, visualizations, and accompanying narratives reflecting healthcare-related workflows
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure alignment with NIST CSF, NIST 800‑53, PPSM, and agency policies; collect artifacts for ATO approvals
  • Work closely with the IHS and GDIT Configuration Management and Change Management teams
  • Participate in cross-functional teams tasked with implementing US new or emerging vendor capabilities, or greenfield initiatives
  • Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology and works with management to evolve current processes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting medium-to-large IT projects
  • Experience with FedRAMP-authorized cloud environment (OCI preferred)
  • Experience with large, federal programs and/or contracts
  • Experience creating high-quality, comprehensive diagrams using Visio, Draw.io, other
  • Training/education/experience in task coordination; functional knowledge of IT project management concepts and tools
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.  This includes background investigation and fingerprinting
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with OCI Realm 2 (OC2) preferred
  • Experience with the Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) system preferred
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Veterans Affairs (VA), Indian Health Service (IHS), or other federal healthcare agencies
  • Task management experience and/or skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage frequently changing priorities of competing importance
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with internal/external teams including key stakeholders, various customer teams, and/or executive leadership
  • Ability to work and support the work of others across multiple U.S. time zones
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines, following detailed written policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions
SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL:
  • Must be able to obtain a SSBI (T5) public trust clearance, which requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $149,469 - $178,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
