Job Description

GDIT has an opportunity for a Senior MS Power Platform Developer to support the modernization and sustainment of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The position supports the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) which consolidated enterprise-wide applications and platform services across the Agency and supports the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management practices.

We are looking for a motivated individual with a diverse background as a senior developer with experience developing and implementing enterprise applications in the Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint environments to include:

  • Power Apps: Building canvas and model-driven apps.

  • Power Automate: Creating automated workflows.

  • Power BI: Developing reports and dashboards.

  • Microsoft Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service).

  • Microsoft Office 365 suite for integration purposes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support while designing and implementing complex Power Platform solutions.

  • Developing custom applications, workflows, and integrations utilizing Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to drive business applications and data-driven insights.

  • Provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality output and professional growth.

  • Design, develop, and implement complex solutions using SharePoint and Power Platform technologies, including custom applications, workflows, and integrations.

  • Utilize Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to create effective business applications and provide data-driven insights.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SharePoint and Power Platform environments, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical solutions that address their requirements.

  • Stay up to date with the latest updates, features, and best practices in Microsoft Power Platform technologies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 9 to 12 years of experience as a Software Developer or Software Engineer with a focus on Microsoft enterprise application technologies (SharePoint, Power Platform).

  • 5 to 7 years of experience specifically with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex solutions using SharePoint and Power Platform.

  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, development, and customization.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

  • Ability to lead and mentor a team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Knowledge of security, governance, and compliance best practices for SharePoint and Power Platform.

  • Experience in conducting workshops, training sessions, and user adoption initiatives.

  • Must be willing and able to obtain a NASA Public Trust Clearance (US Citizenship required).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding how to leverage Solutions and Pipelines within the Power Platform would be ideal.

  • Flexibility to travel on occasion to attend team retreats.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
