Human Performance
At GDIT, Human Performance integrates cutting edge research with mission critical care to enhance the physical, cognitive and psychological capabilities of servicemembers and their families. Drawing from our deep expertise in epidemiology, clinical research, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) surveillance this capability ensures individuals are not only resilient and recovered but also primes for optimal performance across austere operational environments. Our team of professionals from biomedical researchers to operational readiness experts collaborate effectively across advanced AI, laboratory, field and virtual settings.

They provide evidence-based strategies, sophisticated analytics, and tailored health solutions that bolster readiness, mitigate injury risks, and sustain peak performance throughout the entire lifecycle, from pre-employment training to post-rehabilitation support.
Operations and Mission Support
GDIT’s work with the Defense Health Agency’s Operational Medical Systems (OPMED) Program Management Office (previously known as the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity) supports the development, delivery, and fielding of critical drugs, vaccines, biologics, device, and medical support equipment medical capabilities to protect, treat, and sustain the health of our military service members. OPMED is the DHA’s leading force in medical development and acquisition, focused on enhancing Warfighter lethality and readiness.
Epidemiology and Biosurveillance
Interested in conducting public health surveillance to protect the health of those who serve our nation? Our epidemiologists and biosurveillance scientists collect, analyze and interpret health surveillance data globally to track traumatic brain injuries, infectious disease outbreaks and other disease that can impact our service members.
Research and Development
Our researchers and healthcare professionals at the Defense Health Agency’s Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence implement research studies to find new and innovative assessments, treatments and rehabilitation methods for service members and veterans with mild traumatic brain injuries. Conducting over 30 different clinical research studies, adds to the body of TBI knowledge used by our experts to educate congressional and military leaders, healthcare providers, service members and their caregivers , and the general public about the impact of TBI and advances in TBI care.
