Quantum Preparedness for One of the Largest Federal IT Infrastructures

An agency with one of the largest IT infrastructures in the federal government manages hundreds of thousands of connected devices and petabytes of sensitive data. To prepare for the coming shift to post-quantum cryptography, they partnered with GDIT to conduct an enterprise-wide assessment of encryption certificates and algorithms. GDIT applied its Tidal Digital Accelerator to evaluate the agency’s existing discovery tools, validate their effectiveness, and enhance visibility into cryptographic systems. By identifying risks, triaging fixes, and prioritizing updates, they are reducing vulnerabilities and building a roadmap to safeguard infrastructure for the quantum era.
