Jeffrey Luckett joined General Dynamics Information Technology in January of 2017 as a senior engineer in the leveraged DevOps practice in the Bossier City ITC. Over the course of 4 years he helped lead the effort to build an internal DevOps toolchain for GDIT, worked on application integrations for the OCIO, and software development and DevOps for the VA, and Navy. He started the lead engineer position on the Collaborative Software Armory at the Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific in August 2018. As the contractor lead of the NIWC CSA product, Jeff leads the deployment, maturity, and growth of the DevSecOps toolchain while serving over 1400 development team members in Agile software development, and automated, secure, containerized build.
Jeff began his career by starting an internet service provider in the 90s, and transition to software development during the ‘.com boom’. While leading the e-commerce development at a small company in the early 2000s, he took a leadership role on the company’s primary product development pipeline, pushing for on-time release of functionality that resulted in millions of dollars of new revenue. During the tenure of his 24 year career, Jeff has led software development, networking, architecture and systems administration efforts across cloud and data center platforms for private industry, federal and local government entities with an extreme focus on helping people through automation, process improvement and good software.
