Patrick Barry is an Executive and Senior Director with General Dynamics Information Technology, a leading technology service provider where he leads all growth activities in support of the company’s clients within the Department of the Army. In addition to his work at GDIT, Pat is a member of the board of governors of the Middle East Institute. He formerly was a non-resident cybersecurity policy fellow at the New America Foundation.
Prior to joining GDIT, Pat was a consultant with the Redhorse Corporation, leading the company’s strategic advisory services having to do with the Defense Department’s SIGINT and Cyber missions. Pat also served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, as the Cyberspace advisor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. Before his Defense Department service, Pat served in a variety of roles at the Department of Homeland Security, most recently as Secretary Jeh Johnson’s counselor for counterterrorism and intelligence. Pat has received several awards for his government service, including the Department of Defense’s Distinguished Public Service Medal for his work to combat the Islamic State’s use of the internet, and he was a 2015 Shawn Brimley Fellow at the Center for a New American Security.
