With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Gibbs focuses on large-scale software development in the federal government space his entire career. He has special interests in software development excellence, high-performance teams, innovation, Agile and DevSecOps, and Cloud Computing.
In his current position at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), Mr. Gibbs is a Senior Director of software development where he leads proposal development for RFPs from the Federal Government. Mr. Gibbs previously served in positions at (GDIT) as Senior Director of Applications Services, as well as Program Manager where he led teams of over 60 engineers, performing development and maintenance and working with technologies such as Amazon Web Services and Apache Spark for mission-critical applications in the Intelligence Community (IC). Mr. Gibbs also previously served at Boeing as Chief Engineer of a big data program for the IC.
Mr. Gibbs received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Maryland. Additionally, he has earned multiple certifications including the Project Management Professional, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), Scaled Agile Program Consultant (SPC), and ITIL.
Mr. Gibbs is also a published author on software project management and regularly speaks at industry conferences on software development.
