Mr. Cemelli has over 22 years of experience in the IT industry providing programmatic and technical leadership on numerous efforts for the Federal Government. He is currently Program Vice President and Program Manager for GDIT’s Ironhide contract that provides Enterprise Desktop and Unified Communications services to the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). In his role as Ironhide PM, he has standardized NRO’s multi-domain desktop architecture, converted the agency to VDI, and is working with the customer to transition Ironhide to an outcome-based IT acquisition model. Mr. Cemelli is the Desktop Solutions Lead for GDIT’s IHS/MS/Reconnaissance Programs Business Area where he supports capture and solutioning activities for new business opportunities.
Prior to NRO, Mr. Cemelli held multiple positions supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). He was Deputy Program Manager for the ITEMS Data Center Services (DCS) contract where he led the delivery of desktop, cloud, and mission hosting services. As an engineer and manager for NGA’s Active IT (AIT) contract he led GDIT’s delivery of the IC DTE Phase 1 Common Operating Environment (COE) and joint NGA/DIA user migration. The IC DTE P1 environment has since grown to support over 90k+ users from NGA, DIA, JCS, and White House. Mr. Cemelli was the NCE AIT Cybersecurity engineering lead during NGAs BRAC consolidation to NGA Campus East (NCE). He designed and managed a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture for one of the first large scale virtualization efforts in the IC at the time. Before NCE he spent 5 years as a senior engineer for NGA’s Computer Network Defense (CND) program.
Before joining GDIT in 2010, Mr. Cemelli spent 12 years with Booz Allen Hamilton where he supported various IT and SATCOM programs at DISA, AFSMC, and NATO. He has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and holds active CISSP and PMP certifications.
