Jay Johnson currently serves as GDIT’s Senior Director of Customer Engagement and oversees six engagement centers with more than 2,500 personnel. He has more than 30 years of experience managing and optimizing engagement center operations in commercial and federal markets. While Jay has mastered the art of engagement center startups and long-term operational optimization, his true passion is the pursuit of continuous improvement, a relentless devotion for innovation and excellence in an ever-changing technical and policy landscape of engagement centers.

Starting as an agent himself, Jay has held nearly every position in the engagement center ecosystem, allowing him to see the holistic operation and associated complexities of multisite and multichannel execution, all the while identifying strategies to engage customers with optimized processes to ensure high customer satisfaction.
