Martin Isaksen has more than 35 years of experience across DoD application development, networking, security, and cloud solutions. He is currently a Senior Architect for Cisco’s Federal Defense business covering software defined networking, hybrid cloud, unified communications, and security. In his prior role as Microsoft Federal DoD CTO, he led the Microsoft technology strategy for unified communications, hybrid cloud, business productivity, and mobility. Prior to that role, Martin worked at Nortel for 10 years as a DoD Chief Architect supporting several mission critical systems for the Federal Government including the NASA Space Shuttle network and the first ever DoD certified VoIP solution at Ft. Huachuca, AZ.
Prior to that, Martin worked in the Federal Government for 12 years across DoD and Civilian agencies as a where he helped publish the first DoD web sites at the Defense Technical Information Center. Prior to that, he worked at Joint Base Andrews, where he worked on Air Force One communications for the 89th Communications Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland University College.
