General Dynamics awarded $553 million supercomputing program coming to Fairmont

FAIRMONT — The massive $553 million supercomputing project listing Fairmont as one of the three locations where the work will occur, was awarded to General Dynamics by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration early this month.

The award announcement, posted on the federal contracting opportunities website FedBizOpps, officially listed CSRA as the award winner; however, it was recently bought by General Dynamics in a $9.7 billion acquisition in April.
