New, long-term agreement with Cyber Innovation Center will further expand economic opportunities, build talent pipeline and advance federal and state missions over the next decade.

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a business unit of General Dynamics, today announced it will continue its longstanding partnership with the state of Louisiana through a new lease agreement for its Integrated Technology Center in Bossier City. The agreement, which the company signed with Cyber Innovation Center, Inc., extends up to 10 years.

Since launching its partnership with Louisiana Economic Development (LED) in 2015, GDIT has helped accelerate the state’s technology economy by growing jobs, building a skilled talent pipeline, and expanding opportunities throughout the region. Many of these roles are high‑wage, highly skilled positions in cyber, artificial intelligence and software development.

An independent 2024 study by Louisiana Tech University’s Center for Economic Research found that GDIT delivered $358 million in annual economic impact to the state through workforce expansion, supply‑chain growth and increased consumer activity. The analysis also estimated that GDIT will generate $3.5 billion in economic impact over the next decade.

In addition, the company has invested in strategic partnerships with higher educational institutions across the state to cultivate IT innovators and build a talent ecosystem through internship and mentorship programs. These include Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC), Grambling State University, Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana Tech University, Northwestern State University, Southern University Shreveport Louisiana and The University of New Orleans.

“Louisiana has built an environment where innovation translates into opportunity, and GDIT’s continued investment is another sign of that momentum,” said LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois. “Their commitment to another decade in Louisiana reflects the strength of the technology ecosystem taking shape here – connecting industry, education and talent to advance critical missions and reinforce Louisiana’s leadership in the industries helping shape America’s future.”

GDIT has also invested in expanding employee growth and upskilling in advanced technology areas including cyber, AI and software development. To date, GDIT employees in Louisiana have earned nearly 2,300 technical and business certifications. The majority of the workforce also possess security clearances and nearly one in three are military veterans.

“Our partnership with Louisiana has always been rooted in shared growth and shared purpose,” said Paul Nedzbala, GDIT’s chief business officer. “We are grateful to the communities, businesses and educational institutions across Louisiana that have enabled us to thrive in this state over the last 10 years. Through this new agreement, we look forward to deepening our collaboration and further investing in Louisiana to ensure it remains a leader in technology innovation.”

The continued partnership is also a key part of the company’s Vision, Innovation and Acceleration strategy launched earlier this year, which emphasizes investing in the workforce of the future to lead the next era of technology innovation for the federal government.

GDIT is a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), a global aerospace and defense company that offers a broad portfolio of products and services in business aviation; ship construction and repair; land combat vehicles, weapons systems and munitions; and technology products and services.
