GDIT Receives 2023 AWS Partner Award

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) announced it is a recipient of a 2023 Geo and Global AWS Partner Award, which recognizes leaders around the globe playing a key role in helping customers drive innovation and build solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). GDIT was recognized for collaborating with multiple AWS Partners to deliver innovative solutions for the Navy Enterprise Service Desk (NESD) program.

Announced during a Partner Awards Gala at AWS re:Invent 2023, the Geo and Global AWS Partner Awards recognize a wide range of AWS Partners whose business models have embraced specialization, innovation and cooperation over the past year.

NESD is a $136 million program currently under way to modernize and consolidate more than 90 disparate IT help desks across the Navy into a central service desk. GDIT, in collaboration with three partners, delivered a first-of-its-kind artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) solution hosted on AWS GovCloud to ensure 24x7x365 continuous operations for tens of thousands of Navy personnel globally. This AI/ML solution has resulted in 92% customer satisfaction, 95% first call resolution, 21% increase in self-service utilization, a six-minute decrease in average handle time, and more than $10 million in estimated cost savings to-date. Once fully deployed, NESD will serve more than 1 million end users, including active-military, retired military, spouses, government employees and contractors.
