About Automated Identification Technology V (AIT-V)

Automated Movement and Identification Solutions

U.S. Army Automated Movement and Identification Solutions (AMIS) has partnered with CSRA to support the Automated Identification Technology V (AIT-V) Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), a competitive multiple vendor, multi-award contract, establishing CSRA as the single award approved provider for AIT-V solutions across the Department of the Army.

AIT-V Objectives

The objective of the AIT-V IDIQ is to provide a state-of-the-art, common, integrated structure for logistic identification, tracking, locating, and monitoring of commodities and assets. In addition, Item Unique Identification (IUID) marking, data collection, storage information, retrieval methods, information processing, and transmission of Tag data will greatly enhance systems within the Department of Defense (DoD), United States Coast Guard, other Federal Agencies, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Coalition Partners and, other Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Passive RFID technology will provide standardization and interoperability amongst Government Users of Passive RFID equipment and incidental services acquired from the AIT-V Contract.

Support services under the AIT-V IDIQ

Now available: The AIT-V User Guide. This user guide contains CSRA's AIT-V products and offerings and is available as a downloadable PDF file. This guide provides a simple, easy to understand document that allows users to order and build configurations that meet their needs.

Hardware Warranty and Maintenance Dispatch Procedures

  1. Prior to contacting us for service, please be sure to have the following information ready:

    a. Model of unit requiring service
    b. Serial number of unit requiring service
    c. Contact name
    d. Contact phone number
    e. Address where unit(s) requiring service are located
    f. Brief description of problem you are experiencing

  2. Contact the service center for service request.
  3. Service technicians will call users to determine if unit(s) return is necessary.

    a. If the issue can be resolved over the phone the service ticket is closed.
    b. If the issue requires that the unit(s) be returned a return material authorization (RMA) number and UPS return label are issued to the user.
    i. Unit(s) are received and inspected ii. Unit(s) are repaired iii. Unit(s) are staged per contract requirements iv. Unit(s) are returned to user – Please provide address if different from pick-up location.

Repair Service

For unit(s) requiring return for repair service, please note the following:

  • Ship unit in original packaging or equivalent to avoid shipping damage
  • Options should not be returned with unit if not required for repair or evaluation
  • Ribbons and labels should be removed from printers prior to shipping, but samples should be provided for testing purposes
  • RMA# should appear on outside of package and on packing slip
  • Batteries should be removed prior to shipping terminals
