You are the subject matter expert on warehouse and logistics management and support all aspects of warehouse and logistics management for our government client. HOW A WAREHOUSE/LOGISTICS MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: 

 

  • Manages warehouse operations for a satellite facility.
  • Provide oversight, operations and maintenance of all material handling equipment. 
  • Provide management and oversight of all applicable contract arrangements associated with the warehouses.
  • Manage all aspects of transportation and shipping/receiving operations include planning, coordinating, scheduling, and oversight of all applicable arrangements.
  • Ensure safety procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Ensure accurate inventory or stored equipment.
  • Ensure all assigned vehicles are appropriately maintained.
  • Providing advice and guidance to the staff on preparation of appropriate procedural policies.
  • Provide support for day-to-day staff functions for the development and coordination of planning support policy, approaches, plans for exercises, and related functions.
  • Acquisition and planning of associated support equipment.
  • Provide planning support for the acquisition of additional warehouse facilities.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Required Experience: BA/BS and 10 years’ warehouse/logistics experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
  • Required Skills and Abilities: subject matter expert on warehouse and logistics management; strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently; management and communication skills; tact and diplomacy; knowledge of warehouse and logistics best practices and ability to apply these skills to improve organization effectiveness; may be required to carry weight in excess of 25 pounds; ability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time at least annually with shorter trips throughout the year.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience working in a SharePoint environment; DoD logistics experience
  • Location: On Customer Site, Hanover County, VA

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
