Job Description

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies.

SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

Our work depends on a SCITLS SharePoint Software Developer Advisor joining our team to develop and provide subject matter expertise for SharePoint platforms that support USSTRATCOM. The SCITLS SharePoint Software Developer Advisor will be a critical component in ensuring the effective design of vital systems and architecting the success of the SCITLS mission.

HOW A SCITLS SHAREPOINT SOFTWARE DEVELOPER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Performs SharePoint platform development and provides subject matter expertise to lower level developers as needed
  • Provides analysis, design, and hands-on development and delivery of web-based applications
  • Has extensive experience in SharePoint templates; customization; and branding and web development (HTML; CSS; XSL; XSLT; CAML; JavaScript)
  • Has strong expertise with third party SharePoint applications
  • Builds and supports all aspects of SharePoint including sites, site collections, master pages, templates, web parts, content types and policies, lists, libraries, workflows, authentication, security groups, permissions, and customizations
  • Creates and customizes SharePoint workflows in SharePoint Designer. Performs continuing updates to the repository
     

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED


Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree (or equivalent experience)


Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience with Microsoft SharePoint Development


Required Technical Skills:

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, XSL, XSLT, CAML, and/or JavaScript
  • Experience building and supporting sites in Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience creating and customizing workflows in SharePoint Designer
  • Experience utilizing and incorporating third-party SharePoint applications

Required Certification 1 (Must possess or be able to obtain within 9 months of start): ITIL® 4: IT Service Management (ITSM) Certification

Required Certification 2 (Must possess or be able to obtain within 30 days of start one of the following):

  • CompTia Security+
  • -or- CompTia CASP+/SecurityX
  • -or- CompTia Cloud+
  • -or- ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
  • -or- ISC2 Certified Secure Software License Professional (CSSLP)


Security Clearance Level: Must possess active Top Secret with SCI eligibility


Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to serve as a subject-matter expert for other developers

Preferred Certifications:

  • ITIL 4 Foundations
  • Microsoft Certified Power Platform Developer Associate
  • Azure Developer Associate
  • Power Platform App Maker Associate
  • Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $110,614 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
