AZURE CLOUD ENGINEER
Cloud Architect will maintain an efficient and cost-effective migration of data, applications, and other technologies from an on-premise platform to a cloud-based infrastructure.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
● Migrating data from on-premises or legacy systems to the Cloud
● Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
● Monitor system health and troubleshoot technical issues.
● Conducting risk assessments
● Identifying technical requirements
● Managing project timelines
● Identifying and recommending opportunities for optimization and cost savings in the cloud environment
● Working with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met during and after migration
● Providing post-migration support and address any issues that arise.
● Documenting configurations, processes, and procedures.
● Automating administrative tasks using PowerShell scripts.
● Implement security and compliance policies.
● Manage user accounts, permissions, and licensing.
● Ensuring seamless integration, security, and optimal performance of Microsoft 365 applications such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Engineer Senior must have:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Technical skills:
● Qualifications:
● Must be willing to support an on-call rotation
● Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
● US citizenship required
● Certification Required: 8570 compliant with a Security + certificate and Cloud Certification in representative cloud where work is performed (Azure or AWS)
● Location: Onsite Annapolis Junction, MD

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
