HOW BEING A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT?


Our customer is seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer capable of working with a software development team to provide enterprise system support. A successful candidate will follow an Agile software development methodology to support O&M requirements and develop system enhancements on an AWS Platform.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Provides full stack O&M support for systems using Java, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript frameworks, Tomcat, and SQL
  • Leverages AWS services and cloud technology to implement innovative IT solutions
  • Front End Skills: JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks (Angular, JQuery, Typescript, React, or Bootstrap), CSS, HTML, XML
  • Back End Skills: JVM (Java - Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate), Oracle Database, REST
  • Build Tools: git, tactical and strategic improvements to large scale Java/J2EE/ products
  • Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems
  • Translates software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks
  • Implements/supports the software development lifecycle: design, development, test, deployment, and maintenance
  • Provides input and support for technical documentation, such as user manuals, system documentation, security certification requirements, and training materials
  • Develops and adheres to best-practices for developing applications
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Continuously contributes to team performance improvement and collaboration
  • Effectively collaborates across teams to support program objectives
  • Debugs issues and provides tier 3 help desk support if needed

DESRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Service Now
  • Documented Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Jenkins
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
  • Experience with DB Schema design and SQL development
  • Experience with Web Services (SOAP, Rest)
  • Experience with Maven
  • Experience with ANT

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 0+ years of experience
  • Hours: Core Hours - 9am-3pm
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
  • Location: Chantilly, VA (On Customer Site)

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $119,870 - $162,178. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
