MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As an IT Program & IT Portfolio Support the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USCENTCOM. You will play a crucial role in providing strategic oversight and monitoring of IT programs and portfolios within the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) J6 Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, supporting the alignment of IT programs with strategic objectives while supporting decision-making across the command’s IT portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Guide and direct a team of Program Managers who are each responsible for Planning, Programming, and Budgeting (PPB) for lifecycle sustainment of their respective programs (portions of the IT enterprise).
Lead the Program Management (PM) team in rationalizing and prioritizing IT investments according to client value delivered, funding execution cycles, delivery timelines and dependencies.
Lead the PM team in establishing robust lifecycle sustainment processes for all assets (hardware and software), based on Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Asset Management data, with 18+ month planning outlooks/roadmaps.
Develop and maintain dashboards (with assistance of dashboard development team) , slides, info papers, talking points for presenting relevant PM data/status to senior leaders.
Maintain a SharePoint portal presence for PM functions and information.
Provide recommendations to support government stakeholders in making informed decisions regarding program direction and IT portfolio priorities.
Develop and submit detailed reports to the government customer as required.
Provide administrative, operational, and strategic support to USCENTCOM J6 leadership, ensuring effective collaboration and mission success.
Oversee and assist where necessary the Requirements/Demand Management process.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective interaction with government stakeholders, contractor teams, and subcontractors.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify, assess, and resolve complex challenges proactively.
Ability to adapt to changing mission requirements, priorities, and operational environments, demonstrating agility in managing shifting timelines or scope changes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Project/Task Sr Manager must have:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 5+ years of related experience working in IT programs or portfolios within a DoD or federal environment.
Technical skills:
Clear understanding of the DoW PPB process
Desired skills:
Experience working within USCENTCOM or a Combatant Command (CCMD) J6 environment is highly preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or ITIL certification or similar project/portfolio management certifications.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies or Lean Six Sigma for process improvement and continuous delivery.
Military background or experience supporting military staff is highly desirable.
Required Security clearance level: TS/SCI

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
