MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Project Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). You will play a crucial role as a NCIS Project Manager.

NCIS provides the Department of Navy (DON) with threat status and warnings associated with terrorist, criminal, cyber, and counterintelligence activity throughout the world.  NCIS is the only DON organization that has the information and responsibility to fuse and analyze the national intelligence and law enforcement information necessary to provide these warnings. 

The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States Navy and Marine Corps.  

This position is part of the IT Technology Development division within the NCIS ITDS organization and performs the following functions: 

  • Coordinate and monitor technical projects or programs from initiation through delivery 

  • Gather required data from end users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to create technical specifications 

  • Serve as liaisons between technical and non-technical departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met 

  • Ensure technical projects are completed on schedule and within budget 

  • Keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results; Works with minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment .

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects 

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility 

  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress 

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques  

  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques  

  • Report and escalate to management as needed 

  • Successfully manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders 

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks 

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation 


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your project management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Project Manager must have:

  • Security clearance level: Active Top Secret clearance. Ability to obtain TS/SCI.

  • Required Experience: 5+ years of technical Project Management experience.

  • Technical skills: Prior IT Project Management Experience

  • Required Certification: PMP certification.

  • Education: BA/BS Degree

  • US citizenship required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
