Special Security Technician (Information)

Our work depends on a Mid-level Special Security Technician (Information), to serve in support of defense analytical and administrative requirements for a Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC).

HOW A MID-LEVEL SPECIAL SECURITY TECHNICIAN (INFORMATION) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Brief and train proper command security practices for the Command Security Indoctrination briefings to promote Security, Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA).
• Update local security publications as required, consistent with DoD/DIA guidance.
• Provide input into USCENTCOM history reports and maintain the SSO webpage.
• Inspect and draft written feedback in support of the Command Inspection Program.
• Coordinate, track, document, brief, train, and issue courier authorization.
• Coordinate with customers and Defense Courier Service staff for the delivery/pickup of classified material and provide SME guidance for forward deployed units.
• Identify and analyze security vulnerabilities that affect remedial training in support of the Security Incident Program.
• Coordinate and support the command Annual/Hurricane Clean Out Program, the Wearable Fitness Device (WFD) Program, the Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAM) Program, and other security related programs for USCENTCOM.
• Support the Information Security Working Group and Tasker Management Program.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Security Clearance Level: TS / SCI, with polygraph eligibility.
• US Citizenship Required
• Desired Education / Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 8 yrs experience with at least a portion of the experience in the last 2 yrs.
• Required:  Obtain the DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within 2 years and recertify as required.
• Preferred: USCENTCOM experience.
