Job Description

Our work depends on a Vice President (VP) of Strategic Programs joining our team to support our Health and Human Services (HHS) Business Area. This position provides an exciting opportunity to play a leadership role in serving our customers by supporting critical HHS-specific technology and mission challenges. The breadth of our portfolio and the scale of our company ensure that you can take on new challenges and new roles as our business and mission-impact expands.

You should have a proven record of successfully growing business on large and strategic opportunities, and an ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger Federal Health division. A demonstrated customer intimacy and in particular, an understanding of the strategic direction for HHS (AHA, FDA, CDC, ACF, SSA, HRSA, IHS) is very important.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Develop a strategic roadmap on expanding GDIT footprint across HHS.
  • Support strategic capture and business development for large opportunities in the pipeline. 
  • Establish C-level relationships across the federal health portfolio.
  • Leverage existing relationships to: (1) enhance execution and support organic growth across strategic programs (2) Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Provide high-level consulting, strategy, and leadership across the HHS Business Area related to large, enterprise programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and support implementation of strategies to address HHS Department-wide initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • BS degree and 10+ years of senior leadership experience in federal health operations, sales, and/or business development
  • Demonstrated customer intimacy and experience growing the business across multiple agencies within HHS
  • Extensive background providing strategy and growing business for federal government contracts; to include operations, capture and successful federal procurement focused on mission and health IT services
  • Experience understanding customer needs for cutting edge technology and digital transformation; and how to deliver and advise on solutions
  • Specific experience and familiarity with AI/ML, Cybersecurity, Zero Trust, Enterprise Architecture
  • Communications, presentations, and strategy development are all paramount to your success. This position will interact with all levels of customer and GDIT leadership, and must be able to effectively work within this environment
  • Location: Hybrid position split between remote and a GDIT office or travel to customer sites.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and/or Public Trust

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $191,250 - $258,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
