Systems Administrator (E2E)
 

Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as an End-To-End (E2E) Systems Administrator with GDIT at the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo Pacific (JMSC-IP); the Pacific's premier simulation complex. HOW AN E2E SYSTEMS ADMINISTRSTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. Coordinates system development to include design, engineer, modeling, security, integration, and implementation.

  • Experience in modeling/simulation and command/control (C2) systems.
  • Understand the Joint Live Virtual Constructive framework in training environments and the interoperability between Simulation (JLCCTC, JCATS, etc.) and C2 systems.
  • Understand Integration Engineering protocols HLA (High-Level Architecture) and DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation).
  • Experienced professional responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining an organization’s servers, networks, and critical infrastructure.
  • Versatile and skilled in administering both Microsoft (Window Server) and Linux (RedHat) based environments.
  • Understanding of Cloud Platform Design & Architecture and Deployment & Infrastructure Management.
  • Experience in design, deploying, and managing virtual environments using both VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and Microsoft Hyper-V platforms.
  • Background in systems engineering, simulation technology, or military operations.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.   
  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently and, in a team setting.  
  • Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BS/BA preferred (in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field with concentration in computer-based technology); or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training; 3+ years of experience; Military training and training support is highly preferred. Baseline computing certification(s) required
  • Required Experience: Experience building BCCS stacks; Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF); Knowledge of VMWare (Skills and assessment); Understanding of DISA STIGs; WAN/LAN experience; TCP/IP troubleshooting; strong knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment; strong knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques
  • Required Technical Skills: Experience installing and configuring multiple software programs; Experience with HBSS administration; Experience with SQL
  • Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Superb communication and documentation skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms; must be able to work as part of a team; be flexible and can adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Location: On Customer Site with moderate travel to other government sites throughout the Pacific region

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $69,700 - $94,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
