Job Description

The Sense & Warn (S&W) Rapid Deployment Radar Field Service Representative (FSR) – Level III is a senior-level position responsible for the operations, maintenance, and support of S&W rapid deployment radar systems. This role requires technical expertise in system inspection, servicing, repair, and deployment, both domestically and internationally. The technician will assist in transitioning S&W capabilities to permanent international work locations or demobilizing and redeploying equipment. Additionally, the position provides subject matter expertise for current and future program equipment challenges. 

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • Operate, maintain, and administer expeditionary S&W radar systems. 
  • Inspect, service, and repair S&W systems up to the depot level. 
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues. 
  • Install, initialize, and operate S&W equipment at domestic and international work locations. 
  • Assist in transitioning S&W capabilities to permanent international sites or demobilizing and redeploying equipment. 
  • Provide subject matter expert analysis for program equipment challenges. 
  • Document and track support calls using ticketing systems. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED 

  • Current DoW Secret level clearance and ability to obtain a DoW TOP SECRET Clearance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent military/technical training in radio frequency, electronics, or radars. 
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience or combined education performing administration, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and employment of Counter Fire Target Acquisition or Ground/Air Defense radar systems, or similar systems.
  • Flexibility to travel overseas as required. 
  • Proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and operating system issues. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: 
  • Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar (LCMR) Systems 
  • SAAB Giraffe 1X
  • Leonardo Multi-Mission Hemispheric Radar
  • Graduate of a military radar repair course, with advanced radar repair courses preferred.
  • Proficiency in using ticketing systems to document and track support calls.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally, diplomatically, and tactfully across all levels of an organization. 
  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team while maintaining a positive attitude. 
  • Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Travel and Medical Requirements 

The Sense & Warn (S&W) Rapid Deployment Field Service Representative (FSR) – Level III must be prepared to travel to both domestic and international work locations, including high-threat and austere environments, as necessary to support the inspection, maintenance, and quality assurance of S&W operations. 

Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain a Class I worldwide medical clearance to ensure they are medically qualified to work in all global locations, including those with challenging conditions.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $33.97 - $37.77. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
