What you need to be successful and how you will make an impact to the mission as a Field Service Technician/Engineer:

  • Perform maintenance, training, mechanical, electronics, and IT Networking related sustainment  

  • Performing installs, de-installs, testing systems and components, and performing Preventive Maintenance actions on a variety of systems belonging to the Elevated Sensors family of systems.

  • Performs operational checks, induction and return to service inspections, troubleshoot faults, remove and replace components, service generators, remove and replace fluids, adjust and alignments,

  • Perform routine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations; adding, removing, and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; reading of electronic circuit schematics; and repairing printed circuit boards and ability to perform minor maintenance on generators such as changing oil and filter and other duties as assigned related to scope of AOR (area of responsibility of an FSR/FST (Field Service Representative/Technician)

  • Performs sustainment and PMCS maintenance on the towers and payloads

  • Performs site surveys to determine type and placement of systems

  • Updates databases, informs lead of job status and any issues encountered and must have the ability to generate/produce data and reports

  • Tracks and updates work orders to include the replacement of parts component serial numbers removed and replaced, experience utilizing COLTS (or similar such as RCLS) and operating within the GCSS-A environment is strongly desired

What you will need to succeed:

  • AA/AS + 2-5 years relevant experience, years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree; HS + 6 

  • US Secret Security Clearance Required

  • Must possess the required training and certifications in relation to BETSS-C Towers (Current BETTS-C Certificate)

  • If not already in possession of the BETTS-C Certificate, training will be required, requirements of training including the ability to pass an initial pre-test test of job-related knowledge with 60% proficiency or greater prior to training and a final test following training with 80% proficiency or greater, this will result in successful completion of obtaining certifications in relation to BETSS-C Towers (BETTS-C Certificate)

  • On Customer Site Full Time, may travel via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas to support mission

  • Must be willing to support up to an 84-hour Extended Work Week or work week assigned to PDY or TDY work week based on mission requirements including travel within SWA

  • Must be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operations and be able to withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and willing to live and operate in an austere environment with the ability to meeting physical demands of the position that can included but not limited to: ability to lift 50 lbs. climb ladders, kneel, squat, stand, bending, carrying, climbing, hearing extreme noise levels, and other physical requirements to meet the position requirements

  • Must be able to successfully be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operation yearly while residing on contract in SWA

  • Successfully complete CRC and obtain the required PPE equipment required for SWA

  • A strong background in IT networks and Network Security is preferred.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $69,264 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
