Job Description

GDIT has an exciting opportunity to support NATO Allied SOFCOM for a TDY 3 month assignment in Mons, Belgium as a member of our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program.

The System Administrator will support user migration for two network environments, providing first line customer service support to end-users with primary responsibility for providing immediate customer response with proactive and immediate troubleshooting, configuring, and repairing systems, software, and ancillary hardware issues. Ensures proper baselining and patching of systems, STIG and SCAP compliance, installation and deployment. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for software/hardware maintenance and troubleshooting of various vendor devices/platforms.

HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provide systems administration support to image, configure, and transition Dell thin clients as part of network migration

  • Manage printer support including configuring and deploying new printers and ensuring client connectivity and functionality

  • Manage the functionality and efficiency of physical and virtual servers including troubleshooting operating systems

  • Provide end-to-end system administration to client systems with installing and configuring Microsoft Office Product Suites and other authorized software 

  • Validate and ensure compliance with security policy for mixed security environments 

  • Conduct software license tracking, renewals, and audits and maintain inventory of equipment, software and software licenses.

  • Provide technical system support in conjunction with Enterprise Service Desk personnel, including troubleshooting and touch labor service support as needed

  • Monitor system performance. Independently troubleshoot and resolve highly complex problems to ensure reliable performance of systems.

  • Assist government with managing accounts, including reviewing and approving account requests, provisioning new accounts, and removing accounts.

  • Perform Tier 1/2 touch labor support for computers, print devices, digital senders, and associated IT peripherals.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve Knowledge Databases, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Order Procedures (WOP) to reduce resolution wait times, improve actionable response times, and improve overall user support. 

  • Collect, document, and analyze system and network metrics to identify patterns and trends, and identify and document steps for improvements while maintaining customer satisfaction in every step of the service delivery model


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience)

  • Required Experience: 5+ years of demonstrated System Administration/Engineering experience

  • Certifications: Must possess DOD 8140 compliant certification (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent)

  • Security Clearance Level: US Secret (SSBI) Security Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI as required

  • Required Skills and Abilities:

    • MS exchange server administration

    • Applicable Microsoft certification such as Azure Administrator, MCTS, MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent industry certification

    • Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Service Desk processes and tools

    • Knowledge and experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) administration.

    • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills

    • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

This project will be supported on a TDY basis onsite at customer locations in Mons and Chievres, Belgium. The anticipated duration of the project is 3 months.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $91,811 - $25,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
