The Senior Social Media Specialist opportunity is located in our Falls Church, VA office. To be considered, candidates will follow a hybrid schedule, requiring on-site presence three (3) days per week in Falls Church, VA office.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Develop and manage social media strategy aligned to business growth and talent attraction.
• Manage GDIT’s LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube handles/accounts.
• Author, create and publish engaging social media content to influence the market, our customers and potential job candidates on GDIT, our capabilities and thought leadership.
• Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop and execute paid and organic social media campaigns, impacting business growth and amplifying thought leadership.
• Deliver KPI metrics, insights and ROI for organic and paid campaigns tied to tangible business impact.
• Keep a pulse on the social landscape, trends, best practices and platform updates.
• Monitor the market, competitors, and company mentions with social listening tool.
• Manage and grow the GDIT social advocacy program.
• Support crisis communications operations.
• Support special projects as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline plus 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience developing content in social media and/or marketing platforms in a Corporate setting
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills
• Exceptional communication and content creation skills
• Excellent knowledge of LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, social media best practices and KPIs
