Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiators. You will help ensure that today is safe, and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on an App/Domain Senior joining our team to help support a program at Scott Air Force Base in O’Fallon, IL.

The Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program will be reengineering business processes, performing data interface/integration services, implementing a single, integrated system, and leveraging commercial software to conduct transportation, financial, and logistical operations for approximately 36,000 users.

GDIT is seeking a Systems Engineer Sr Advisor to work as an App/Domain specialist to help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.

How a Systems Engineer Sr Advisor Will Make an Impact:

  • Basic AMC/SDDC and USTRANSCOM modernization and migration to the cloud
  • Integration and support of Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Serves as a technical expert for the development, implementation, management, and support of systems and networks. Plans and execute complex assignments, developing new methods and approaches in a wide variety of IT specialties.
  • Maintains group policy, AD directory structure, and deployment of policies.
  • Provides domain-level configuration, administration, operation, and support for the enterprise.
  • Supports application, infrastructure and core services.
  • Supports hardware and software management; uses, monitors, and manages a software license repository, across the enterprise, for recording and tracking software licensing/support agreements.
  • Provides configuration management support in accordance with compliance and policies and procedures.
  • Uses configuration management systems to record, track, monitor, and update component configurations and configuration items and changes and account for assets.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Required Experience:
    • 8+ years of related experience in progressive enterprise engineering and management experience.
    • Security Clearance Level: Active DOD Secret
    • Location: Onsite, Scott AFB
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Maintains group policy, AD directory structure, and deployment of policies.
    • Provides domain-level configuration, administration, operation, and support for the enterprise.
    • Supports infrastructure and core services (such as Exchange, Active Directory, server and storage performance, virtualization, etc.).
    • Supports hardware and software management; uses, monitors, and manages a software license repository, across the enterprise, for recording and tracking software licensing/support agreements.
    • Uses the hardware to manage delivery of all required data center services, including the server and storage systems operations monitoring tools.
    • Provides configuration management support in accordance with compliance and policies and procedures.
    • Uses configuration management systems to record, track, monitor, and update component configurations and configuration items and changes and account for assets.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
