Training Support Lead/Exercise Planner Echelon Above Brigade (EAB) – Secret Clearance RequiredGDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Our work depends on a Training Support Lead joining our team to help build and enable the readiness of our Nation's Army in the Pacific!MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:The Training Support Lead/Exercise Planner is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Alaska Mission Training Complex (JBER MTC):
  • Plans, coordinates, and supervises execution of individual MCIS training. 
  • Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes unit individual, crew, and collective training at echelons ranging from Squad to Division. 
  • Assists unit leadership in planning training that will meet their training objectives; identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with unit leadership and MTC staff to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training. 
  • Plans or participates, as directed, in Concept Development Conferences, Initial Planning Conferences, Mid Planning Conferences, Final Planning Conferences for Training Command assigned exercises.
  • During event execution may serve as a member of the EXCON Cell, Scenario Cell, or Observer/Trainer (Analyst Support) Cell, as required.
  • Serves in a mentorship role when requested. 
  • Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs). 
  • Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.
  • Responsible for creating exercise support products (HHQ OPORDs, Annex’s, and Master Scenario Events Lists (MSEL)) in support of collective training, and when necessary, may be called on to represent Division or higher headquarters for brigade and below collective training.
  • Works in a highly intense information technology (IT) environment and is required to maximize the use of the Army’s Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS)
  • Provides guidance to and works closely with the Constructive Simulations and Virtual (Games for Training) Team to meet unit’s training objectives.
  • Assists unit leadership in planning individual training that will meet their training objectives. 
  • Update Programs of Instruction. 
  • Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: BS/BA; U.S. Army MEL IV qualified or equivalent ILE; MEL I preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and training
  • Required Experience: Retired Field Grade Officer; 12+ years of related experience; Joint military experience preferred
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • Technical expertise in the Joint Event Life Cycle
  • Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of MC systems
  • Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of Army and Joint training programs
  • Expert knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
  • Knowledge of and experience with emerging mission command technologies (MAVEN, TAK, WINTAK)
  • Certification: N/A
  • Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance required with the ability to obtain Top Secret
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to lead a planning team to create a high fidelity, realistic training event in a Live, Virtual, and Constructive environment to meet customer requirements
  • Location: On Customer Site
  • Superb presentation and communication skills
  • Strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on JELC requirements and training objectives

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $91,582 - $123,906. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
