HVAC Mechanic – Korea

GDIT has an exciting opportunity available for a HVAC Mechanic – Korea maintaining Tactical/Commercial ECUs and HVAC systems in Korea. Successful applicant must have a valid passport, be a self-starter, and have a high degree of craftsmanship\quality in their work and be able to obtain a U.S. Government issued SECRET clearance. 

How the HVAC Mechanic will make an impact:

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, Chillers, and Environmental Control Units – some are standalone units and others are mounted on trailers and vehicles.
• Use precision test equipment including various electrical meters, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Evacuate, pressure test, recharge, and evaluate complex environmental control systems.
• Custom fit copper and aluminum tubing, braze, and fabricate basic sheet metal components.
• Some work will be in a large depot level shop environment and some work will be in a field environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
• Able to obtain an AAA international driver’s license.
• Environmental Protection Agency EPA 608 Universal certificate.
• BA/BS plus 2 years’ experience, AA/AS/plus 4 years’ experience, or a High School diploma and 7 years’ experience.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET clearance.
• US passport must not expire for at least 2 years.
• Valid driver’s license.
