You will make an impact on the mission as a Ground Based Operational Surveillance System (GBOSS) Field Service Representative with collaboration with key stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements with the ability to provide appropriate solutions with the customer and serve as the point of contact in a distributed, geographically separated environment; while managing health and serviceability of multiple systems across a wide-spread geographic area.

What you’ll need to succeed:
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Ground Based Operational Surveillance System (GBOSS) Field Service Representative must have:
2-5 years of relevant experience (with High School however years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
BETSS-C Certified Highly Desired
Previous experience with the G-BOSS platform is preferred but not required.
The ability to meet physical demands of the position that can be included but not limited to ability to lift and carry 50 lbs., climb ladders, kneel, squat, stand, sit and other physical requirements to meet the position
Able to work in austere environmental conditions in remote deployment location (including the ability to drive long distances in these locations)
Will travel via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas to support mission
Oversees and performs installs, de-installs, testing systems and components installation, configuration and maintenance of servers including physical and virtual environments, and performing Preventive Maintenance actions on a variety of systems belonging to the Elevated Sensors family of systems
Creates reports on system performance, security incidents and other key metrics as requested by the customer and/or GDIT Leadership
Provides recommendations for system improvements based on analysis and industry best practices based on mission requirements
Perform operational system performance checks, induction and return to service inspections, troubleshooting faults, remove and replace components, service generators, remove and replace fluids, adjust and alignments, use hand tools and electronic measuring devices such as AC/DC voltmeters and ohms meters
Understand, and follows technical manuals, engineering documents, schematic diagrams, safety bulletins, and news flashes; be able to input data into databases and be able to retrieve data to perform maintenance or provide reports as requested
Performs maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations; adding, removing, and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; reading of electronic circuit schematics; and repairing printed circuit boards and ability to perform minor maintenance on generators such as changing oil and filter and other duties as assigned related to scope of AOR (area of responsibility of an FSR/FST (Field Service Representative/Technician)
Performs sustainment and PMCS maintenance on the towers and payloads
Performs site surveys to determine the type and placement of systems
Installs and de-installs systems and their components and trains operators and end users
Updates databases, informs lead of job status and any issues encountered and must have the ability to generate/produce data and reports
Track and updates work orders to include the replacement of parts component serial numbers removed and replaced, experience utilizing COLTS (or similar such as RCLS); experience within the GCSS-A environment is strongly desired

The likely salary range for this position is $76,565 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
