We are seeking a creative and highly motivated professional eager to tackle real-world challenges within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

US BICES-X is seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Network Engineer to manage and optimize our critical network infrastructure at our central hub location, which houses a key service node, and ensure seamless and secure connectivity to our remote sites via VPN. You will be instrumental in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of our network environment, playing a key role in supporting mission operations. This position requires a strong understanding of networking principles, hands-on experience with a variety of network hardware and software, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support key network-related software, including Cisco Call Manager (VoIP), SolarWinds (network monitoring), and Cisco ISE (access control).
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, providing timely support to both local and remote users to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in network capacity planning, ensuring the infrastructure scales effectively to meet mission demands.
  • Maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures, for operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication on network-related initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards, maintaining best practices across all network operations.
  • Provide on-call support for critical network issues, ensuring swift resolution during off-hours.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 6+ years Network Engineering experience.
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent industry-recognized networking certification.
  • Security+ CE or equivalent security certification.
  • Must have a valid passport and willing to travel.
  • Demonstrated mastery configuring/troubleshooting DMVPN, and GRE tunnels.
  • Proven expertise in routing/switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, STP, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP).
  • Expertise in network security policy implementation and security device configuration.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with HAIPE encryption devices.
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently, multitask, and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and autonomous work skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results-driven, efficient, energetic, and highly motivated.
