Job Description

System Administrator - Top Secret Clearance

GDIT is seeking a System Administrator to help support our JSP ETM-NG (Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management - Next Gen) team at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. 

How a System Administrator Will Make an Impact:

  • Troubleshoot accounts for users and applications. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance monitoring tools. 
  • Manage COTS products and coordinate with senior engineers.
  • Administers various EMS applications that supports Engineering, Operations, and Security departments (i.e. LDAP, RSA, Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE, etc).
  • Provides application maintenance patching, pilot testing, software upgrades, STIG and deployment support of new software baselines for the Production environment.
  • Serves as a liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  •   Participates in special projects as required.
  • Competent to work at a technical level on all phases of application administration activities.·        
  • Develops and maintain documentation such as SOPs on existing and new applications.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED:

CLEARANCE: Active Top-Secret clearance (with eligible for SCI)

CERTIFICATION:

  •  Current Security+ CE Certification (or higher)
  • Computational certification (similar to Network+, Linux+, RHCSA)
  • Project Manager Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) **desired but not required**

EDUCATION (ONE of the following):

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree and 5+ years of experience

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of related technical experience and people management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, show tact, effective listening skills and follow through.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

5+ years of working knowledge and hands-on experience with system administration, networks, and infrastructure environments

  • Red Hat Linux
  • Open LDAP
  • RSA SecurID
  • VMWare / Hypervisor

LOCATION: Customer site in the Pentagon

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
