Job Description

Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Senior PeopleSoft Administrator at GDIT. Here, you’ll administer the PeopleSoft application to the unique requirements of our clients. Our work depends on the right PeopleSoft Administrator joining our team to manage our PeopleSoft environment in support of our customers by providing a system that facilitates their daily work. The Senior PeopleSoft Administrator will implement solutions utilizing the wide variety of PeopleSoft administration tools that allow our customers to work effectively in the tool.


HOW A SENIOR PEOPLESOFT ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Manage and maintain PeopleSoft environments
  • Install, configure and maintain PeopleSoft software, including PeopleTools, web, application, and integration servers
  • Apply patches, updates, and bundles to ensure system stability and security
  • Lead PeopleSoft implementations, upgrades, and migration projects
  • Support change management processes to facilitate smooth transitions during code migrations, upgrades or new implementations
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations
  • Lead troubleshooting, debugging PeopleCode and analyzing system logs
  • Manage and maintain application change management tool 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Required Experience: 10+ years of experience with PeopleSoft administration including: 
    • PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM
    • PeopleTools 8.5x or later
    • Oracle or similar relational database required
    • Demonstrated experience with application performance tuning and optimization
    • Application server, web server, integration broker, and process scheduler administration

  • Required Skills and Abilities: 
    • In-depth understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and application suite
    • Expertise in PeopleSoft administration tasks, Oracle Linux OS and automation tools
    • Knowledge of integration tools and middleware like Oracle WebLogic, Tuxedo, and other relevant technologies
    • In depth knowledge and configuration of Oracle Phire ACM
    • Strong skills in web and application server management, configuration, and administration
    • Self-starter with excellent time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with ease, while maintaining a strong focus on detail

  • Preferred Skills and Abilities: 
    • Experience with automation tools
    • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
    • Knowledge of security protocols and practices within PeopleSoft
    • Experience with PeopleTools, Application Engine, PeopleCode, and integration tools
    • Strong Oracle Linux operating systems skills with shell scripting or similar
    • Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop initiatives, as well as recommend solutions to improve efficiency
    • Proficient in creating clear documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
    • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changes in the PeopleSoft ecosystem
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively
    • Work effectively within cross-functional teams

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $95,200 - $128,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
