Job Description
We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join GDIT as a Technology Consulting Senior Advisor (DevSecOps Engineer Lead). As part of our deployment information technology team, your primary role will be securing internal assets, configuring permissions, enforcing role-based access, and integrating all necessary compliance controls. You will be responsible for implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform or ARM/Bicep templates to ensure environments that can be easily reproduced. You will also develop a high-level understanding of the complex systems governing and facilitating our customer business operations, make recommendations, and implement changes to increase efficiency and support overall program, application and capability objectives. You will collaborate with GDIT technical leadership, Government customers, and other key stakeholders to assess our existing and new systems infrastructure. You will work closely with our Security assessment team to make sure all architectural design meets agency policy and guidelines. You will then determine how best to update, upgrade, and reorganize our technology to create a lean, efficient Systems/Solutions Architecture capable of supporting our various projects and goals. You will maintain production application system architecture documentation throughout the life cycle of applications.

data processing.
Technology Consulting Senior Advisor Duties and Responsibilities
• Function as a principal advisor to the Program Manager
• Leads the design and implementation of secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps in Azure Gov environments
• Integrate automated security scans (SAST/DAST) at each stage for early vulnerability detection
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure as Code tools and configuration management
• Ensure consistent, reproducible environments that adhere to FedRAMP High and NIST SP 800-53 controls
• Implement continuous security monitoring within the pipeline (container image scanning, dependency vulnerability checks, code quality gates)
• Enforce compliance checkpoints before deployment to sensitive cloud environments
• Coordinate with development, operations, and security teams to embed DevSecOps best practices
• Mentor team members by establishing coding standards and promoting a “shift left” security mindset throughout the software lifecycle
• Oversee release workflows and change management processes
• Integrate with tools like ServiceNow for approvals and documentation
• Ensure every deployment meets federal project requirements and maintains the system’s Authority to Operate (ATO)
• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance and reliability
• Troubleshoot build and deployment issues
• Improve automation scripts to streamline delivery without compromising security or compliance
• Collaborate with Security and ISSO personnel to address findings from audits or vulnerability assessments
• Integrate fixes or remediation steps into the DevOps process to maintain a hardened cloud environment
Technology Consulting Senior Advisor Requirements and Qualifications
Required Technical Skills:
Experience
Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Engineer, Azure Security, CISSP, AWS, or other relevant certifications
Travel Required: Little to no trave anticipated (may be required upon customer request).
Location: Hybrid (will support onsite as required)
US Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required

Less than 10%
The likely salary range for this position is $145,350 - $196,650. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
