As a Deputy Program Manager supporting US Army in Europe & Africa (USAREUR-AF) on the Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services 2 (EMITS 2) contract, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Deputy Program Manager joining our team to support the Program Director in performing the complex task of overseeing the enterprise IT services in support of the USAREUR-AF mission. Contingent upon contract award.
HOW THE EMITS 2 DEPUTY PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Serves as the Deputy PM, assisting in the supervision and oversight of a large, diverse, and geographically dispersed team of IT professionals supporting the EMITS 2 program
Provides expert support to the customer by facilitating solutions in response to complex issues and emergent mission requirements.
Assists the PM in the management of program performance and executes oversight, as directed by the PM, of activities performed by the EMITS 2 team, to include administrative (i.e., scope, cost, schedule) as well as personnel management (staffing, training, professional development)
Leads the Logistics and Procurement activities across EMITS 2 by applying industry best practices and integrating automation tools and capabilities to ensure transparency, create efficiencies, and reduce overall costs.
Ensures comprehensive property accountability across the program, for both government furnished equipment and contractor acquired property.
Assists the Program Manager in support to the customer’s Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer Representatives
Provides guidance, leadership and mentorship to the EMITS 2 team
Collaborates with the EMITS 2 senior leadership to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
Performs independent thinking, complex tasks with little to no supervision.
Performs additional duties as required by the PM.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical area. Master’s degree preferred.
Required Experience: 15+ years managing projects and teams in a complex environment
Required Certifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP)
ITIL 4 Foundation
Security clearance level: TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility
Required Skills and abilities:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Strong financial understanding and acumen within the DoD and DoD contracts.
Must be comfortable presenting to senior executives and VIPs.
Strong problem solving and team building skills.
Must possess a mission-focused mindset that thrives on delivering positive outcomes and takes pride in accomplishing goals on time and within budget.
Must operate with transparency across corporate and customer contacts.
Experience utilizing dashboards and reporting tools to deliver meaningful operations and performance data to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience leading large, complex global logistics and supply chain operations in a military environment (in both US Army and Joint environments), including procurement, order fulfillment, international and secure shipping, warehouse operations, transportation, and reverse logistics.

The likely salary range for this position is $140,250 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
