Our work depends on a Cloud Architect joining our team to play a critical role in advancing the client's mission by enhancing existing cloud deployments and designing innovative cloud architectures tailored to mission needs. By leveraging expertise in scalable and secure solutions, the architect will streamline operations, improve data accessibility, and enable rapid deployment of new capabilities for the DoD client in Tampa, FL.

HOW A CLOUD ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Designs and defines Cloud Solutions architecture for new or existing Cloud systems services.

  • Provides business strategy, solution development and technical guidance to develop business and market solutions that align with cloud service offerings from the cloud service provider.

  • The cloud architect will collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, and data engineers to design and implement cloud solutions that optimize workflows, enhance data processing capabilities, and support seamless integration across mission-critical systems.

  • The cloud architect will partner with the team to identify and analyze challenges, leveraging their expertise to develop innovative cloud-based solutions that address performance bottlenecks, enhance system scalability, and ensure robust data security while aligning with the client’s mission objectives.

  • The cloud architect will utilize their expertise in cloud technologies such as virtual networks, compute resources, event-driven services, and traffic management to design and implement scalable and secure architectures.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Security Clearance Level: Requires Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI eligibility in the future

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), relevant experience may be considered in lieu. DoD 8570 IAT III Certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent) Preferred

  • Experience: 5-10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation for enterprise or mission-critical environments. 

  • Skills and abilities:

    • Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing virtual networks, compute resources, and cloud-based storage solutions. 

    • Expertise in implementing and managing scalable and secure architectures using Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and event-driven computing models. 

    • Strong knowledge of network security, identity and access management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST). 

    • Hands-on experience with load balancing, traffic management, and distributed systems. 

    • Familiarity with automation tools and technologies, such as Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). 

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, data scientists, and data engineers. 

    • Strong communication skills to translate technical requirements into actionable cloud solutions. 

  • Location: On Customer Site

  • This is a full-time onsite position and does not offer hybrid option

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
