HOW THE SENIOR UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Encompasses the delivery of lifecycle support services for all aspects of a federal agency phone system portfolio which includes legacy solutions as well as future capabilities. The scope includes the following primary areas: 
  • Manages operations from hardware/software planning through implementation
  • Supports network configuration and performance management activities
  • Ensure the continued operation of the EVoIP and/or Microsoft Teams telephony and network components
  • Provides legacy phone support for stand-alone phone systems 
  • Engineer/Design/Deploy and Support Future Unified Communication (UC) capabilities and enhancements
  • Managing and troubleshooting Avaya and MSTP (Managed Secure Telephony Platform) systems.
  • Overseeing all engineering activities related to MSTP configuration and ensuring proper endpoint connectivity.
  • Resolving technical issues within systems, troubleshooting performance problems, and ensuring operations efficiently.
  • Ensures that Avaya and MSTP solutions are configured and optimized to meet business needs.
  • Maintaining and supporting EVoIP (Enterprise Voice over IP) systems, ensuring they are functioning at peak performance.
  • Provides essential back-end engineering support for troubleshooting MSTP and resolving T4 tickets related to telephony issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Provides business process modeling and reengineering support
  • Provides secure reach-back support
  • Ensures that technical strategies align with business needs

RELATED TECHNICAL SKILLS: 
Avaya, Managed Secure Telephony Platform (MSTP), Cisco, Microsoft TAC, Power Bi, SAFe


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
 

EDUCATION: Bachelors and minimum of 5 years’ of related experience

Substitutions Allowed: Certificate of Training-2 years of undergraduate work and 5 years of related experience; No Degree- 10 years of related experience; MA/MS- 4 years of related experience

CLEARANCE: Top Secret (TS) level with the ability to obtain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)

LOCATION: 75% TRAVEL

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $107,100 - $144,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
