Our work depends on a Senior Interface Engineer Lead joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities.

As a Senior Interface Engineer Lead supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage and oversee Interface Engineering activities across the program.
Act as primary point of contact for Interface Engineering.
Uses extensive experience to resolve interface design problems.
Review engineering drawings and documentation on CI/NDI and MILSPEC equipment.
Senior lead for Interface with equipment In-Service Engineering Agencies (ISEA), Combat Systems Engineering Agents (CSEA) and Software Support Activities (SSA) as required.
Experience in resolving element, multi-element, and weapon or combat system hardware, interface, and interoperability issues.
Experience with components and systems interface through cables.
Experience with selecting cable types, understanding of cabling that is approved for shipboard use and the standards and requirements for shipboard cabling with respect to interface of electrical/electronic component, and development of cable run sheets in addition to cable/connector selections based on interface requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
A Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in the relevant field and 15+ years of relevant experience (or 19+ years of experience without a degree).
A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

U.S. Citizenship Required
The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
