MCIS Instructor

GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program.  GDIT delivers individual instruction through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training from Squad through Echelon Above Brigade (EAB).

HOW A MCIS INSTRUCTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Serves as Primary Instructor/Trainer for the AFATDS/JADOCS Fires Team.

  • Ensures that AFATDS students receive world-class instruction in accordance with approved AFATDS Program of Instruction (POI).

  • Ensures all Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) are loaded with the latest software version; also responsible for ensuring all individual training equipment is properly maintained and serviced.

  • Assists with the scheduling of AFATDS, JADOCS, FEC, FDC, PFED, LFED and CENTAUR Courses.

  • Enforces the standards required for students to pass the AFATDS Operator course.

  • Assists with the cross-training and professional development of Individual Training Team (ITT) members on Fires MCIS.

  • Assists in preparing AFATDS, JADOCS, briefing material for the supported Mission Command Training audience.

  • Assists the Individual Training Team (ITT) in preparing to support various simulation exercises using WARSIM and other Simulation systems.

  • Responsible for supporting various exercises with “over the shoulder” MCIS support.

  • Foster a positive work environment

  • Perform other duties as required

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: HS/GED

  • Required Experience: 6+ years experience in information systems development, training, or related fields, with 3+ years experience developing and providing IT and end-user training on computer hardware and application software; 3+ years MCIS teaching experience.

  • Required Technical Skills: Have previously served as a primary instructor for the same courseware on which the instructor will teach; have completed a course of study leading to a minimum of experience with Army MCIS and software systems AND completed a formal course of study in the subject(s) to be taught; be a subject matter expert who has operated the system under instruction.

  • Security Clearance: SECRET clearance required

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; superb organizational skills; be qualified to serve as a Primary Instructor on at least two Army MCIS; be qualified to serve as an Assistant Instructor on all Army MCIS; be qualified to support collective training events through coaching, teaching, mentoring MCIS to augment collective training principals or subject matter experts.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $56,680 - $75,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
