MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Network Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in these work areas:

• Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity
• Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
• Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
• Coordinates hardware and software acquisition
• Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
• Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
• Create and maintain documentation of networking processes
  
   

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Engineer must have:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Experience: 2+ years of related experience
● Required Skills:

• Experience with network and firewall solutions, including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, and/or Palo Alto
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

● Security Clearance Level: None required, but ability to obtain and maintain Secret or higher clearance is preferred
 

● Location: State of Louisiana

• Candidates within LA who reside within 60 miles of our Integrated Technology Center in Bossier City, LA will follow a hybrid work model
• Candidates within LA who reside more than 60 miles from our office in Bossier City, LA will follow a remote work model
