Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Strategic Planner you will help to continue to support the mission. You will utilize your 15+ years of experience to provide specialized analysis, planning, conduct research or evaluate information from a variety of sources and makes recommendations based on the data.

Support campaign, contingency, and crisis planning focused on joint problem sets – a wide-ranging task that requires extensive knowledge of Joint Planning and Intelligence Planning Processes and expertise in how Joint Operations policy, strategy, and plans align with our national security policies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizes advanced, highly complex modeling and measuring techniques.  Performs functional modeling based on requirements analysis.

  • Directs functional testing of various projects or systems.

  • Researches, identifies, and recommends resources required for task execution and completion.

  • Develops new functionality or updates the existing, to meet client needs.

  • Writes and updates project documentation including procedures, presentations, and training materials.

  • Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.

  • Consults with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects.

  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.

  • May serve as a mentor to less experienced analysts.

  • May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)

  • Serves as advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation.

  • Generates recommendations in the form of briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience)

Required Experience: 15+ years of related experience.

Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI clearance

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Military Leadership Experience.

  • Special Operations Planning Experience.

  • Oversight at either the strategic or operational level.

  • Interagency and DoD coordination experience.

  • US Citizenship Required.

Location: On-Customer Site – MacDill AFB, FL

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $100,300 - $135,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
